Following his recent collaboration with Eddie Bauer, JJJJound is keeping to the outdoor theme, now planning for a release alongside Danner. Justin Saunders and the company took on the classic Mountain Light silhouette of the bootmaker and set in place a handful of trademark keys for the joint foray.
JJJJound and Danner continued using the original Mountain Light hiking boot pattern, which was launched in the early 80s, and then incorporated a heel pull tab, formerly used only on the Mountain Trail design. To customize the pair, the JJJound logo was placed on the side, while a woven logo appears on the inside of the collar.
Danner was founded in 1932, and its high-quality boots are now completely produced in the United States in Portland, Oregon. JJJJound’s re-imagining of the Mountain Light silhouette will be released from 1 p.m. on Friday, November 20th. EST.
