Kim Jones designed a new Dior men’s collection for Spring 2021, dubbed “Modern Tailoring.” The collection consists of items designed to be effortlessly incorporated into existing wardrobes, as clothes can be quickly mixed and matched to suit the wearer’s style and mood.
“Modern Tailoring” consists of three jackets and three pants, each presented in three material houndstooth executions, a Prince of Wales check, and a black wool and mohair mix. Blurring the distinction between formal and casual, the double-breasted and three-button jackets feature Dior Bar Jacket-inspired covered buttons, while the zipped blouse can be easily dressed up or down. The pants are then sold in a variety of cuts, nicely matched with Dior’s new skate-inspired sneaker, the B27.
Jones’ deconstruction of formal aesthetics is on full display in the house’s official “Modern Tailoring” lookbook taken by Brett Lloyd.
