Louis Vuitton followed up on his first collection of 2054, with a second look at how luxury fashion is going to be in 24 years or so. The name of the collection is based on the theme of futurism by imagining Louis Vuitton two centuries after its founding year 1854.

This collection is confident in its expectation that ski-wear will be a huge part of the urban wardrobe, suggesting that all the snow will not have melted away in a climate-related catastrophe. Though some of the illustrations in the collection speak to themes of global warming (or even cooling) as thermo-sensitive heat maps of the world show on sweaters and t-shirts. In addition, the range features a new technical black runner, space gray tights, metallic nylons, ergonomic waterproof bags, and a trompe l’oeil on a classic monogram.

However the most futuristic twist of LV2054 includes the label’s in-house compressomorphosis technique, which has the clothes hybridizing as two parts of one. In this situation, both the clothing and the crossbody bag, which can be seen in the metallic monogramed tee in the gallery below.

Louis Vuitton 2054 will be available at Louis Vuitton from December 4.
