The LV² by NIGO®️ x Virgil Abloh™️ collab is now in its second stage and has so far delivered monogramed denim, suede mules and, as anticipated, some extremely heavy luggage trunks.

Now, the collaboration will be further remembered forever with a limited edition zine capturing the historic collaboration that took place in Paris with a portrait of Virgil Abloh and Nigo by photographer Nick Haymes. In Japan, the 32-page zine was printed on the Fuji Xerox Iridesse Production Press with gold , silver and CMYK, giving the paper a metallic, filmic sheen.

As we have found out, we are living in an age of endless collaboration, but the idea of this designer x that designer is nothing remarkable. However, the LV² by NIGO ® by Virgil Abloh collab is notable not only for the fact that it originates from the long-standing camaraderie between Nigo and Abloh, but also because it relates to Nigo ‘s history – especially his early obsession with the early London subcultures that influenced his designs during his formative years.

Subsequently, the LV² collection observes a London Mod-era dandy from a Tokyo-style lens, bringing fans a “what if” hypothetical scenario that looks at Louis Vuitton on an alternate timeline with Nigo as Creative Director.

Restricted to only 250 copies, the collector’s item is officially sold out, but will definitely soon surface on reseller pages.
