Salomon continues to establish partnerships in a quick-fire succession, this week debuting the co-branded Shelter CS WP in conjunction with the Better™ Gift Shop.
The Better™ Gift Shop x Salomon Advanced Shelter CS WP is a flexible and robust hiker designed for both urban and rural use. The olive shade on the top is a reference to the German artist Gerhard Richter’s Forest 4 paintings from 2005, whilst the lavender accents are taken from the Munstead Lavender Plant, which is capable of lasting up to 20 years in the mountains.
In a joint voice, Better™ Gift Shop designer Jordan Thomas said, “Technical gear in urban environments makes our day-to-day lives more seamless. The shoe is intended for everyday use in different outdoor and urban environments that make each metropolitan area unique. Whether you’re in Toronto, New York, Paris, or Tokyo, concrete and forest are only separated by a train ride, so we wanted to create something that could straddle both terrains.”
Collaborative Shelter CS WP features an olive-colored upper with lavender highlights on lace loops and inner linen. The Climashield shoe membrane provides insulation and protection from the elements, while the abrasion-resistant Contagrip rubber outsole gives improved traction and longevity.
