Palace has teamed up with the Rapha brand of cycling performance and lifestyle for an interesting collaboration. The group venture seeks a streetwear imprint that deviates from its skate origins and enters the realm of cycling racing.
The Palace x Rapha line will be worn by the WorldTour team, EF Pro Cycling, this month’s Giro d’Italia. Not only does the limited edition capsule consist of a team kit, but it also offers a variety of casual wear that the team can wear off the bike.
The kit includes the Pro Team Aero Jersey and Pro Team Bib Shorts II, as well as limited edition socks, caps and musettes. All of these pieces will be available in very limited amounts, along with the men’s and women ‘s versions of the Pro Team Training Jersey and the women’s variations of the Pro Team Bib Shorts and the Pro Team Aero Jersey.
EF Pro Cycling members can ride three separate Cannondale race bikes with Palace x Rapha graphics. From the ride, street wear includes a t-shirt, long-sleeved t-shirt, hoodie, oxford shirt, GORE-TEX jacket, and cap.
Cycling is a sport that is steeped in history. However, Rapha is on the quest of changing the status quo, and the latest collaboration with fellow disruptors, Palace, is sure to do it.
