Miu Miu’s SS21 show featured a pandemic-proof digital front row, Kate Moss’ daughter Lila’s runway debut, and a juxtaposition of preppy and athletic designs to be seen in the new women’s apparel season.

Miuccia Prada’s show notes set out the self-awareness of the collection, “the reason why people dress is sometimes to please, sometimes to be sexy, sometimes to be socially relevant, sometimes for a job. The way you present yourself – the clothes are important because they define you in a second. Clothes are a tool for that message. The first spectator of yourself is you.”

Oh, we can enjoy a look at ourselves in the ’70s-inspired shadow track jackets. The sporty staple comes in a combination of brown, green, yellow , red and turquoise with a selection of polka dots, lines and feminine adornments on the chest. Whereas Miu Miu always catered for a “ultra-female” aesthetic, the SS21 track jackets make us think that maybe the time is finally ripe for the resurrection of the Miu Miu menswear brand, and maybe the resurrection of our running regime, too.
